We Made it!
It’s Sunday night in Denver and we have been here a little over 24 hours. It’s been exhausting, but great! We managed on the flight ok. It’s never easy, even when you are traveling alone, but it was definitely an easier trip than we imagined. We bought our tickets that connected through Salt Lake City. We had never noticed the route before, but didn’t think much of it. Turns out we were on the 2nd trip for that flight number, as it was a brand new route than began on Monday. Because of this, the plane was EMPTY! We all had our own row when we slept (OK, someone slept next to Jones) and each seat had tv on demand! So amazing for a Northwest flight.
Needless to say , we were exhausted last night. The girls got up once and went back to sleep and Jones woke up twice and did NOT want to go back to bed. On top of being jet lagged, he is cutting a tooth and I think he was very uncomfortable. Curt and I got our best sleep between 730a and 11am. Crazy! Ellery got the most sleep of any of us. She slept from 930p-1230a and was up briefly then went back to sleep until Curt woke her up at 12pm! She said was planning to sleep until it was night again…Good for her!
We were able to go over to our house today to see the progress of the kitchen. It looks amazing! The French door just pops out at you and beckons you to the deck. The cabinets are beautiful! My designer, Lori, was able to get a few upgrades on them that I didn’t know about and so I was pleasantly surprised to see them all. Right now the cabinet installer is trying to get all the lower cabinets in before the granite fabricator comes tomorrow to make a template for the countertops.
Our storage was delivered to the house, so now I have a huge chunk of my things back. I can’t do too much yet as the cabinets and granite need to be completed before I can' put my dishes away. But we can work on the bedrooms and toys. The kids need something to play with.
We are all so excited to be here. I think Mother Nature was excited as well as we had a Tornado Warning this afternoon and I love that weather!!! Just thought we would give you a little update. I hope all is well with each of you families and loved ones. Have a great night, Julie.
